The Town of Fairview is committed to 'Keeping It Country', but that doesn't mean keeping it low-tech. The safety of our residents and business owners is a top priority, so an ordinance in effect since 1998 (Article 4.05), which requires an Alarm Permit for every alarm system in Fairview is getting a high-tech solution. Residents are now able to file their permits online, and provide emergency personnel with valuable information that could help reduce response time and save lives.

APPLYING FOR A PERMIT ONLINE:

It's easier than ever to get the required Alarm Permit for your home or business. The resources on this website can help you to: register a new alarm, update you current permit, access account information, pay false alarm fines, and renew your permit annually. If you prefer to complete the permit process the old fashion way the form may be downloaded and mailed to the Town of Fairview, Alarms Unit, 372 Town Place, Fairview, TX 75069.

It is in your best interest to make sure your alarm system is in proper working order. False alarms are a substantial drain on police services and are subject to fines according to the following schedule:

False Alarm Fine Schedule

  • False Alarms 1-5 in 12 month period, NO FINE ASSESSED
  • Additional False Alarms in same 12 month period, $50.00 fine per false alarm

The "Notice of False Alarm" left by the officer who responds to a false alarm is considered your notification of police response.
